Lucan Children's Music Festival 2018

Ruaille Buaille is a children's music festival taking place in Lucan, Co Dublin from Wednesday 6th June until Saturday 9th June, 2018, with workshops and performances taking place in schools and libraries and culminating in Griffeen Park on the final day. A festival highlight for this year is members of Kila performing a Family Concert as the opening event in Griffeen Park on Friday June 8th at 6.30 pm.

Hosting an exciting programme of music workshops, performances and outdoor events, suitable for children of all ages, Ruaille Buaille 2018 is the perfect environment for children and their families to celebrate making and experiencing music. With over 50 events taking place there is something for everyone to look forward to at Ruaille Buaille '18.

This year's Ruaille Buaille at Griffeen Park returns with the Festival Big Tent as well a Mini-Music Marquee hosting a programme for early years, a lively Music Generation South Dublin Creative Tent, Percussion under Canvas, Whistle in the Wind music trail and a line-up of top notch musicians and artists. As well as a musical feast of great performances in the four marquee spaces, there is also plenty of other happenings in the park, including face-painting, circus performers, pop-up shows and food stalls. So, bring a picnic and enjoy a great musical family day out!

Since its inception in 2008, Ruaille Buaille provides an environment where children of all ages can experience music making, a wide variety of music styles, genres and instruments, in a fun and informal way. Ruaille Buaille has all the wondrous, magical and imaginative ingredients to spark the creativity of every child.

The festival is produced by South Dublin County Council Arts and Library Services. The festival programme is curated and managed by Artscope and will take place in Lucan Library, local primary schools and in Griffeen Park.
