With music commissioned from musician and composer Tim Doyle (uilleann pipes, whistles, concertina, violin, piano), narrator / singer Cathy Jordan and illustrator/ children’s writer, Jon Berkeley, have come together to create a wonderful performance based on ‘Hill of Tunes’, a gentle, humorous, and vivid story written by Vincent Woods. The performance will use music, illustration and screen to create an atmospheric 25 minute music-story film.
Illustrations will be designed by Jon Berkeley in collaboration with a Lucan class via a number of classroom Zoom sessions.

“A girl and a boy go in search of a tune. Their fairy friend tells them to dig deep in the high hill near their homes. They meet many lively characters as they dig and search, and their encounter with The Tune of the Hill gives them a gift of eternal music, changes the way they see the world and shows them that not everything can be found on google.
This charming and highly entertaining story is brimming with music, magic, humour, wonderful characters and a girl and boy whose journey in search of a tune opens out a world of hidden wisdom.”
