A new music and sound commission by award-winning composer Abigail Smith for Ruaille Buaille 2025

This unique music and sound journey invites listeners to explore the natural beauty of Lucan House through immersive sound. Over the month of May, Abigail worked with local Lucan schools to gather original sounds created by students, now woven into this beautiful new composition.

The premiere of “Sonic Tapestry: Sounds of Lucan House” took place at Lucan House on Saturday, 7 June, during the Ruaille Buaille Lucan Children’s Music Festival 2025.

This commission is proudly funded by South Dublin County Council Arts Office.
