A music and physical theatre piece which responds to the challenges presented by Covid-19. Exploring distance and togetherness, other creative collaborators include children’s theatre performers Mary Lou McCarthy and Nicky Harley, and visual artist Orla Kelly.

“At a time when it feels like it's all negatively about covering up and staying away, a joyful wordless piece about opening up and being together still, finding how to play, connect and be curious within the restrictions of this brave new world.
With a gorgeous and unique live musical score”

For junior infant classes

Bringing together two of the strongest Irish children's theatre performers – Mary Lou McCarthy & Nicky Harley – previously seen to acclaim in BigKidLittleKid which premièred at the Dublin International Theatre Festival 2019.

'Still Here' is directed by acclaimed Children's Theatre specialist – and director of BigKidLittleKid, Anna Newell.

Design is by visual artist and Early Years Arts specialist, Orla Kelly.

Musical Director and live musician is Eamon Sweeney – playing stringed instruments from the 16th & 17th centuries.

This is a story of boredom, being stuck, being separate – but ultimately making connections and forging new friendships. A story for our times.

On Saturday 12th June Still Here will also take place at North Clondalkin Library as part of Cruinniú na nÓg South Dublin programming for 2021.
