Visiting Ruaille Buaille

Wednesday June 4th

The Lullaby Project

An Early Years music & culture project for young children and parent groupings coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The project is focused on sharing and learning lullabies from different cultures.

Led by experienced facilitators Eamon Sweeney, Malachy Robinson and Lisa McGuinness the sessions will use ukuleles, guitars, cello, voice, chimes and percussion.

Lullabies are a powerful emblem of identity and tradition, are present across all recorded cultures and periods, and can provide a powerful connection between peoples. Lullabies exemplify music that is beautiful, accessible, poignant, relatable, and common to us all.

The Lullaby Project works to bring together people in Ireland from different cultures and countries.
