Visiting Ruaille Buaille

Available to schools

Trad Buaille with Claire Sherry Music

We are delighted to be working with fiddle, banjo & mandolin player Claire Sherry to progress the world of traditional music as part of this year’s festival. Between Easter and June, Claire will work with local music groups, as well as schools, to prepare students to perform the Trad Buaille tunes. This is a resource of tunes we hope will help bring together students of traditional Irish music, under the Ruaille Buaille, Lucan Children’s Music Festival banner, to create a community of young people all playing and sharing Irish music.

This project is available to schools in advance of the festival. Ruaille Buaille would like you to enjoy, share and perform the tunes attached as Part 1 of our Trad Buaille project. Download the book of tunes from this page.

Trad Buaille will have their very own stage as part of Cruinniú na nÓg @ Ruaille Buaille Music Village on Saturday June 7th. All welcome to perform in the Trad Buaille Session – young and not so young!
